John M. Rutherford said Okay now that I have had this car for a while and not had to fix too much on it. Now that I've replaced a WHOLE bunch of stuff on the motor and electrically. Done some work and got a basic stereo installed and things. Now it runs fine. I get 21 to 22 miles to the gallon on average in it. Don't know if that's good. But with gas as expensive as it is. I've found ways of saving money on the premium it takes. But with everything that has happened to me with fixing it up and having to wait and save for a while just to get one small part to make something run better. I'm glad that it's been a learning experience for me. I think that this will help me to stay more focused when I build my next lowrider. |

John M. Rutherford said Just sold the last of my Bicycle to a friend of mine who's building a custom trike. I hope he can get it done. With money being so tight these days and with gas prices going up. I can only imagine how hard the Lowriding community has been hit as well. I remember when I first ordered my 20" custom bike. I couldn't wait for the two weeks to be over so I could go riding around the streets. Now I have to wait and wait some more to save up just to buy the part I need. And my Cruising has been put on hold for a while until I can get my ride back on the street. I can't wait till the gas prices can finally go back down so that we can all get back to doing what we love. Cruising, cookouts with our loved ones and friends. And especially the car shows and helping each other out with their rides. |

John M. Rutherford said Hey how is everyone? That's cool. If anyone knows anything about starting up a car club please PLEASE drop me a line. I've tried to get into other clubs around the Houston area and have emailed a lot of clubs but have never gotten a response from any of them. So I'm starting my own. Any help in this as really appreciated. |

John M. Rutherford said This goes out to everyone young who has that gleam in their eye and wants to build something great but has people telling them they can't do it and it's stupid. Screw them. Do what you want and accomplish your dreams. Then they will be the ones telling you good job after all the hard work is done. If you do anything that's worth while, do it for you and do it to the best of your abilities. |
